THE DTHS SUMMER INTENSIVE SESSION
“MASTERS & MENTORS”
June 30 - August 9, 2008

Dance Theatre of Harlem School (DTHS) provides a comprehensive course of summer study in several forms of dance, with a focus on Classical Ballet.

Within our program theme of “Masters and Mentors”, students will be introduced to a number of dance luminaries including Arthur Mitchell, Founder and Artistic Director. Each “Master” instructor conducts master classes within their respective areas of discipline.

The program is divided into 8 Levels of proficiency in ballet technique; students are placed into each level based on talent and age.

Classes are in session Monday through Friday for the duration of the full six weeks. The program ends with mandatory participation in a performance at the Annual Summer Street Festival.

Classes commence on Monday, June 30th with an Orientation Session for students and parents. There will be an Award Ceremony on Friday, August 8, 2008. Students will be required to perform at the Annual Street Festival on Saturday, August 9, 2008. The Weekly Class Schedule is included in your package.
