Pre-Professional and Community Programs

Times and age range:

10:00 to 11:00 pm 3 to 6 years

11:00 to 12:00 pm 7 to 9 years

12:00 to 1:00 pm 10 to 14 years

1:00 to 2:30 pm 15 to 18 years

• Children and young adults who do not have ballet attire may wear a tee shirt, shorts, and pair of socks for the audition.
• No jewelry, skirts, or extra warmers. Hair should be neatly pulled back and secured.
• Arrive 30 minutes prior to the audition.
• Young ladies already on pointe bring both pointe and soft ballet shoes.

Professional Training Program Audition

Time: 1:00 to 2:30 pm - Ladies please bring Pointe Shoes.

The Professional Training Program at Dance Theatre of Harlem is a training intensive designed to give advanced students the career skills and high-level dance competence required for professional success. In addition to ballet technique, pointe, variations, men’s and pas de deux classes, rehearsal and repertoire study sessions.Click here for more information about the program.

Notification of acceptance will be mailed within one week.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to the audition.

ADMISSION to DTHS

Admission to the Dance Theatre of Harlem School, for all incoming students is by audition only.
 
Refund Policy
Refunds will be issued only in the case of withdrawal from Dance Theatre of Harlem School.  Based on the following criteria: 

• Receipt of an official Letter of Withdrawal received no later than 10 business days from your child’s last day of attendance. 
• Withdrawal before classes begin 100% refund
• Withdrawal first week of class 75% refund
• Withdrawal second week of class 25% refund
• Withdrawal third week of class or later no refund
