“I definitely have a long way to go with my training and I am far from perfect, but because of DTH I stand taller knowing that with lots of hard work I can be the best dancer I can be.”

Dance Theatre of Harlem Summer Intensives

NEW YORK, NY

SESSION 1: JULY 2ND - JULY 20TH

NEW YORK, NY

SESSION 2: JULY 23RD - AUGUST 11TH

WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA

@ CITYDANCE: JUNE 17TH - JUNE 29TH

Dance Theatre of Harlem School’s Summer Intensives provide a challenging exploration of classical ballet in a diverse and nurturing environment. Led by School Director, Robert Garland, former principal dancer and current Resident Choreographer with the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company, students will be steeped in all aspects of classical ballet training and preparation following the Dance Theatre of Harlem methodology to train pre-professional dancers.

Students will have daily ballet technique, and take supplemental classes in various techniques, choreography\repertory, dance history, master classes taught by master artists from Dance Theatre of Harlem and guests. Field trips to select performances in NYC round off these robust intensives.

For 49 years, Dance Theatre of Harlem has offered students of all levels the opportunity to grow and develop as artists. Students who join us for the 2018 summer program, either in NYC, or in our Washington, DC partnership with CityDance, will have a unique educational experience that will have them #StandTaller
