Sunday Matinée

Since its inception nearly 49 years ago, Dance Theatre of Harlem has welcomed neighbors near and far to high-quality performances by special guest artists, students from our school and the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company. Join us for the finest in music, dance and drama at one of our Sunday Matinées. Admission includes a Meet-the-Artist reception after every performance. Programs are subject to change.

Thursdays @ DTH

Thursdays @ DTH is an open rehearsal that gives rare insight into the artistic process of how dances are made and how the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company Members, Artistic Director, Ballet Masters and Choreographers work together. Audiences are able to preview new ballets for the upcoming NY season, ask questions, meet the dancers and choreographers!

DTB For Seniors

Dancing Through Barriers® residency for seniors incorporates the basics of ballet technique, various dance styles and our dance making curriculum and is adapted for senior of all ages, stamina and abilities.  This also includes gentle stretching, fun community building activities with a culminating event.

Disney Street Games

NYC Parks and the Walt Disney Company will host the 12th Annual Street Games at Thomas Jefferson Park in Harlem! Street Games re-introduces classic, low-tech games played in the city in the ’60s and ’70s to a new generation of kids. The event is open to all ages and abilities.

Classic Street Games are on offer, including:
Pogo Sticks
Hula Hoops
Double-Dutch
Hippity Hop
Yo-Yos
Box Car Derby
Jumbo Games Obstacle Course
Imagination Playground
Ultimate Disc
Wheelchair Basketball

Plus, performances by a yo-yo master, hip-hop breakdancers, and the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
