APRIL 16 – 19, 2026

2026 New York Season

57th Anniversary Season

Experience the power and passion of Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) as the company returns with a bold, unforgettable season. The centerpiece is the revival of Firebird, DTH’s iconic take on the classic tale of love and transformation. First created in 1982 by John Taras, with stunning sets and costumes by Geoffrey Holder accompanied by live music from the Gateways Festival Orchestra conducted by Jeri Lynne Johnson (April 16, 18. 19) and Tania Leon (April 17). This DTH signature work, set in the Caribbean, is a feast for the senses.

The program also includes dynamic works by DTH Artistic Director Robert Garland, whose choreography blends classical ballet with a modern pulse as well as William Forsythe and Jodie Gates. Join the celebration of 57 years of trailblazing artistry with DTH. Let Your Spirit Take Flight!

Tickets for tonight and tomorrow’s matinee show (last show) are sold out, however there may be a limited supply of partial view seats on sale to be purchased in person at the New York City Center Box Office. Thank you for all the support and love of DTH.
